Sigh...bad luck with the blog again. Wiped out my entry.
So anyway, I'll be leaving Singapore on 18 September. It's a Thursday night, at 11.50pm. Yes, really late eh? But well, I reckon I'll be at the airport around 9 or so cos I like the airport really. I'm taking SIA (SQ 26, the same flight no. as when I went to Frankfurt 4 years ago)...which is where all the problems started.
We were considering either Lufthansa or KLM at first, cos they'd have flights into Dresden from their international airports...no need to change airlines or anything. But Lufthansa's flights into Frankfurt were fully booked around the time of my departure. I've got the date carefully planned you see...not too early (need to wait for my visa) and not too late (got exam in Germany), so cannot go too far off track.
As far as KLM is concerned, think my dad wasn't satisfied with the terms and conditions of the offer. maybe something to do with the dates.
So SIA it was...fulfils the student package thing for my dad and the KrisWorld entertainment for me! Besides, Singapore Girls are more gorgeous than most air crew. I love that uniform! Ok, better stop in case my gender preferences are doubted.
But then we had a problem with getting from Frankfurt to Dresden (halfway across the country at least). The internal flights alone on Lufthansa cost like what, 460 Euros for a return ticket...like hello, it costs only slightly more to get from Singapore to Frankfurt on SIA, which is super ex already! Plus, since the night flight for my mum actually cost $400 more! Like c'mon man, it's just 12 hours difference!
So anyway, after days of accessing airline website after airline website, my mum and I decided to take the ICE (super fast express train) from Frankfurt to Dresden instead. It cost just 105 Euros for a first class return ticket plus reservation of seats! Wow, but it costs the same for a single trip ticket...sigh. Too bad. The train ride'll take 4:26! Wow, what a long ride. I'm so happy it's 1st class, since the jam in 2nd class is terrible...though I reckon I've made a mistake...ugh. I booked a what do you call it...a compartment seat, instead of a seat in the main carriage. Now how on earth am I gonna fit my luggage in there with me? Shoot, I am so stupid!!
Okay, will change the profile thing the next time. Not gonna be such an ass!
Well, now all I have to do is wait for the visa...I'm praying hard!
