Yeah! Thank God I am saved!! I managed to fix the handphone plan problem! I waited till 4pm to access my Vodafone Online account...cos it got blocked or locked for 24 hours thanks me entering the password wrongly 3 times!! Anyway, I saw on the website that it was probably possible to change plans at anytime during the contract...but must pay money lah. Still, the the long run it would be cheaper. So I tried to navigate around the website, which wasn't easy cos it was totally in German! And I found that for some reason, I couldn't change it online. Wanted to go to the Vodafone-Shop tmr to change it and stuff, but then got a suggestion to call their customer service. Well, it sure wasn't an easy decision, cos of my inane fear of calling people, but since it was free and well, it was worth a shot, I just called them. Had to wait a long long time and even had to call a second time, but well, I got through in the end! And thankfully it was a lady who sounded friendly and didn't mumble. THough I was admittedly a bit too excited and cleared my throat when she was saying her name. Anyway, she said it was possible to change plans anytime (she didn't mention the fee, but well, I know about it, so I'm not gonna be surprised) and she suggested the 2 plans I could switch to. I chose the cheapest plan...which means like pay more for each call, but well, I don't call much anyway...and since SMS to other SPs are the same as all the other plans, I'm okay. Besides, if I am not in Germany, this is the cheapest plan based on fixed cost. Anyway, better this plan than the 2nd cheapest, cos to upgrade, it's free, but to downgrade, it costs €24,95...so well, you know my maths is lousy, but it seems the best alternative to me! But well, I'm really so happy it worked out, even if I am still stuck with a partner card (because I don't have a partner) and its €5 monthly minimum usage. So well, that's a great load of my shoulders. I'm not wasting too much unnecessary money for my mum. Phew. But of course I will be thrifty in other ways too! That goes without saying. I haven't bought any new clothes since my mum went back to Singapore. Amazing self-restraint from me okay! But of course I've bought a lot of other things, like books and my new hp and stationery etc. So the money does disappear in one way or another...like sand through fingers! Sigh
Can't wait for Christmas. I'll buy myself a present then!
