Haven't blogged in weeks...though there's been some blog-worthy stuff. In any case, the main reason is because I've been swamped at work. Since I am hardly online except during work these days, emails and blogging depends on how much work I have. But if I were to be completely honest, it has to do with books as well. I've been reading chick lit the past week or so. I finished the "Bergdorf Blondes" and now I'm engrossed in "Diary of a Manhattan Call Girl". It's dangerous because I risk missing my stop, but I love books which make me forget my surroundings.
Today at work, I finally experienced what it feels like to break out into a cold sweat. I was so freaking stressed at work. There was something very very important to be printed by 5pm. Well, at that point, both the printers in our office were jammed, cos the fancy paper I'd bought was too thick for the printer. I feel like strangling the saleswoman for telling me that it was fine for printing. The weird thing is, the printout was always ok when I printed a single sheet at a time. However, when I tried to print out more than one...the printers just jammed up. Ugh. And I had to print 25 sheets...and to complicate matters, my desk and the printer were in opposite ends of the office. So I was majorly panicking. By that time, I also didn't have enough paper to print out the write up for the 50 guests. Right about then, my blood sugar level had plummeted and I was breaking into a cold sweat. I actually felt faint. At 4.45pm, I was walking towards the paper shop to get thinner paper with the same pattern. At 5.15pm, after running up and down the office at least 15 times, I managed to get everything done, before my colleagues had to bring it to the gala dinner they had to go to. I was so thankful for the M&Ms that my colleague brought me. I even managed to finish the other task which I was supposed to finish by the end of today (I'd actually sent an email to the person to tell her I couldn't finish it today, but I'd give it to her the next day) and sent it to the person in charge. I have more work to do tomorrow...but I think it should be less crazy than today. I really did nearly go insane today from all the stress...but I've gotten quite a lot done today, including posting stuff to Steffi and a letter to Rachel. I've also finished reading half of "Diary of a Manhattan Call Girl".
I've got so much to blog about, but it's time for bed and I don't wanna feel sleepy during work tomorrow.
