Life...and other afflictions

The rantings and uninteresting events of my life

Saturday, April 22, 2006

My muscles are aching...well, my butt and thighs anyway. Blah. It always hits me on the second day. Oh well, have 2 more days to recover before I have to go to school again.

I finally managed to finish my minutes today...the thing is that it's not about minutes of a meeting...it's minutes of a seminar, where academic stuff is being discussed...so I took a long time to phrase all the stuff I needed to say and cross-reference the notes. Blah. But thankfully, it's DONE!! I sent it to the other girl and hope she puts in her part and submits it to the forum. It took me a good part of the afternoon.

Today was also a pretty long day. Woke up, showered and started on the minutes...then I went to the supermarket...where I unfortunately, did not see the cute cashier, but there were young guys there...one at REWE and one at Aldi...I guess Saturday mornings is when the young dudes work...and thus, a great time to just go shopping and ogle them. Haha. Still...neither of these two guys were as nice as THE cute guy I saw twice last week. Ah well...pity...but I bought Ritter Sport..I guess the chocolate was to make up for the disappointment. Haha ;)

Then I came back and vacuumed...cos my partner was coming over so we could work on our presentation on cosmetic surgery. He was slightly late, but ok lah, the tram comes only every 15 min on Saturdays..which is why I wanted him to come over, instead of me going over to his place. I think we did quite well...we worked from about 11.15 to 3.30pm...didn't eat cos he wasn't hungry and it's damn paiseh to eat when your guest is not eating..plus, we were really hard at work, so I guess I didn't really think much about food. But it's ridiculous to spend 4 hours working on a presentation that only lasts 5 minutes. I still have to write the rest of my part and the vocab list...which I will probably spend tomorrow doing...then have to go do my other homework. But anyway, my partner is quite interesting...he has been to many many countries and it's nice to hear what he has to say. Plus, with the work we've put in, I think our presentation will be fine.

After he left, I had lunch...and watched TV while typing out the minutes. There are some majorly spoilt kids. I don't know why parents let kids get away with so much crap. I don't wanna have kids for this reason...and some others too, but this is the main one. Bratty, diva-esque kids are definitely not for me.

And then, the whole afternoon just passed by like that. I looked for some recipes for wild rice and wrote a little text about shopping...and it's now 9.15pm...I guess I will probably read a bit and plan my work schedule for tomorrow...and then I'll sleep early...
