Wow, it sure feels good to be back! Had no internet connection the entire weekend! Why? Cos the people in the room next to mine probably disconnected the cable and we had no net cos of that. Someone even wrote an angry note to complain about it. But turns out only 3 rooms were really affected in the end...mine included. Also, I realise how lucky I am to have hostelmates like mine. You see, in the first room (last in the row connected by the cable), there are chio bus...when I don't have net access (my room is connected before theirs), some guy very interested in them, will come and check my room if there's net and will try to solve the problem. If my room was the last in the row, I could forget about having my problems fixed, cos no one would have a vested interest in helping me...but because I am not the last, I get to benefit indirectly from people who also want their net connection back! GOd is good!
Also, Ruth came over this weekend, so I didn't die of boredom. On the contrary, I had the most fun I've ever had here...besides when my mum was still here. We went shopping and bought a whole load of stuff. Ruth found a pair of Wrangler jeans for 3 Euros and she was grinning from ear-to-ear for the rest of the day. I got a new jacket, a pair of pants and a new bag. Ruth also got me a new, cool jacket. We have 2 of the same jackets and we took photos of each other (cos no one to take for us what! Also, scared people try to steal our digital cameras lah). Actually I didn't know whether to buy the bag, cos it was quite ex, but I really did like it a lot, so I went back the next day to Zara to get it. We got a lot of stuff cheap though...yeah! We also went to see the uni buildings and all the sights in town. We ate quite a lot of stuff at the Weihnachtsmarkt...Stollen (Dresden's famous for this), Kräppelchen, gebrannte Mandeln, ice cream, Bratwurst, etc etc...good thing there were 2 of us, so we could share and so not eat TOO much. Sigh. I can't believe I hadn't seen Ruth for 2 months and I won't see her for another 3 months after this! But, Ruth and I have settled the Partner Card problem...I gave it to her, so we can call each other cheaper. She just needs to get a handphone now..yeah!
So glad to have internet back...not really looking forward to going back to school tomorrow...bleah...got Lit tutorial somemore...gross.
