Nothing to do at the moment. Alex left early yesterday and is not here yet, even though it is already 10.30! So...since I have finished my work, I have nothing to do today! Haha, well it's okay I guess, cos I had more work than usual yesterday. Apart from the silly database updating task, I got to go to the 'Copy Service Centre' (not the 'photocopy shop' as most mortal would call it) and to the Post erm, I cannot translate the thing...post place. Alex sent me there on my own the second time and I unfortunately forgot that I actually went there the first time...but I found it soon enough and I came back so fast that Alex claimed I must've dumped it in the dustbin. Humph! I got to use the photocopier and printer and colour printer and what not. Quite good. Alex said, so I have something new every day. I told him that variety is the spice of life.
The funniest part of the day was when Andrea, the lady from Marketing came over to look for Alex again. She finally recovered from her cold and was all over him! Haha... very funny. She looks like a librarian and Alex isn't that yandao either. But still, they look kinda cute together, cos she looks older than him...though I don't really know. Alex was saying that he's been working here for 10 years already. Like whoa, that is a really long time man...he's 31 this year...so yes, everyone here is a lot older than me. I don't think there's really anyone under 30 here.
As for the weekend, I went to the Library to apply for a card but I forgot my identification...so stupid right? Then I walked around on my own for a while, looking at a lot of stuff but only buying postcards and stuff to eat for the weekend.
On Sunday, my landlady and her friend brought me to the huge lake called Dutzendteich and it was all frozen over. Everyone was skating or playing ice-hockey but obviously I didn't try. Not a good idea to break any limbs here. We went to some centre which was part of Hitler's former party grounds. It is so BIG...I wonder what it must've looked like in it's heyday....erm, but it would be nice to bypass the gruesome acts and cruelty. Then when we got home, we played UNO, 'Mensch, ärgere dich nicht' and 'Müller', the latter 2 I just learnt that day. It was really fun and the time passed like really really quickly! Then I read this book that my landlady lent me, which is quite interesting, but I am only at page 100 plus of around 500. Still, I've only read it for short periods over these 3 days.
Valentines Day...you can tell who has another half...those who did started disappearing really early...By 5.15, only 3 people left, including me. But it is no big deal over here. Everyone just got a heart-shaped chocolate from the canteen people. I just bought a pizza and ate it while watching Friends. Still, not bad though.
Life really ain't bad. I just need more friends that I can speak German to. ;) Anyway, sorry to those who couldn't send emails to my Siemens email add. Please send to hearthief@hotmail.com k? Thanks!
