Life...and other afflictions

The rantings and uninteresting events of my life

Not much happening in my life. Probably that's why I have no desire to write much lately.

Went to Sentosa with Tiff on Monday to get a suntan...though in my case, it ended up more as a burn than a tan. Operation Suckling Pig, as I have named it, was in our view, a success. We just alternated between hopping in the waves and lying on the beach for 5 hours...or the whole afternoon. It was so fun and I just forgot all my worries for those 5 hours...like living in an alternate reality. Should do it more often...but not many people are game for such an afternoon. They'd rather watch movies or have lunch/dinner...which is well, to me not very exciting. I mean not like tanning on the beach is so original or anything, but it would be nice to do something less ordinary for once.

Today was also spent out. I went to collect my passport. The new passport is absolutely gorgeous! The pages are colourful and they show the Shenton Way skyline. I'm totally impressed and the whole process took no longer than 10 minutes..probably less even! Yay! But well, still no letters, so maybe I won't get a chance to use this passport?

Whoa man...time flies...so many days since I last wrote. I suppose it's cos I'm addicted to Bejeweled and I end up playing that whenever I'm online instead of doing anything else. Sigh. I realise I easily get addicted to things...but why not exercise? Ugh.

Let's see, I went to HarbourFront with my mum on Wedneday...it was pretty boring! I mean nothing much in terms of shopping value. I did see someone from a while ago. He didn't recognise me, obviously, but who would? No one who'd never seen me in ages. That said, this guy from church whom I used to talk to when I was in Sec 4 and J1 came to talk to me today. I cannot believe that he actually still recognised me after the 2 years and huge change! But he did. Amazing.

Went to Watch How to Deal with Tiff on Thursday. The story was pretty non-descript. But the cute guy was worth the price of the movie ticket. Audrey says he's ugly, but we like him just fine! Ooooh! Wanted to pon German class, but well, only 2 lessons left now (after Thur's lesson). So I forced myself to go. Well, it's only 2 more classes and the last one isn't a formal lesson, so it's not so bad. still...I shudder everytime I think about lessons.

Friday was a nightmarish experience. The bus was so super crowded! I was minding my own business when I felt my bag keep moving...so I whacked it against the railing. Well, it turns out I hit this lady's fingers, but well, behind my back is not a good place to put fingers or other bodily appendages.

Because of that awful squishy, claustrophobic experience, I had to think really hard about whether to join the councillors at Pizza Hut on National Day afternoon, since I hate crowds...like really HATE crowds. but my desire to see everyone overrode the agrophobia...it was nice seeing everyone. i think it was our most successful outings, in that we had a greater number of people than we ever had: 15 I think. We watched Homerun after lunch. Not bad really, despite the criticisms...I mean this is a sad movie meant for families...so just take it at face value and enjoy it!
Call me stingy but I still feel some ache at spending $8.50 on a movie when I can watch it for $6.50. I suppose I'm paying for the company.
