Life...and other afflictions

The rantings and uninteresting events of my life

So hot. But doesn't mean I'm dying to get back to Germany. I wanna be home too. So busy these days that I can't even sleep at night, cos I keep worrying about what I have to do the next morning, or when I get back. It's awfully stressful, really. Apart from homework, I have to settle the filming schedule and spend time with friends and settle down again. Sigh. Headache or not, I ask you?

Oh, I can always wear a hat if it gets cold...oh, but I'll get hat hair. Oh well. It's ok lah, I think my hair would've grown longer by the time it gets cold enough for my ears to freeze off. But I love this new haircut. It's different. I think it's just what I needed....some variety.

Stress...stress...stress. I've suddenly developed a fear of flying. Hope the movies are good enough to distract me...

Man, can't believe it...I'm going back to Germany tomorrow. I've gotten so used to the cushy, relaxing life over here...having friends and family around to do stuff with and all that. Arrgh...no aircon, no comfy bed and comforter, no telephone, no free SMS, no swimming pool downstairs (which reminds me...I haven't even been swimming once since I got back! I don't care. I'm going tomorrow. Have to get a dip before I leave, or I'll regret it all winter!

I went to get my hair cut and coloured at Chapter 2 yesterday. It's quite different from my original hairstyle. But I wanted it that way. I wasn't quite sure that I dared to. My hair's been more or less the same way since J2...though in Sec 2/3, I had really short hair. That was mostly cos of swimming...didn't need such a long time to dry. The stylist was pretty good...I told her that I wanted a cut kinda like hers. of course it looks different. It suits her better, but hey, since hair grows back, I think it's cool to experiment. Except I'll be on TV with this new haircut, so I hope I won't look back at the video and regret my actions. It's that messy look...it's good for the days I don't feel like combing my hair. haha. Ok, I've looked at the photos. So maybe it doesn't look too different. Oh well, but it is. The back is a whole lot thinner than it was before. Proof? You should've seen the HUUUUUUUUUGE pile of hair on the floor when the hairstylist was done with me. I never realised that I had that much hair. But it was mine...all of it. I got my hair coloured and highlighted too...although the hair seems to be the same colour, I assure you, it's different :) Heh. Well, I mean yes, the base colour is brown but the highlights are a lighter colour. Too bad you can't see it from the photo. Darn, I must be in a pretty bimbotic mood this morning...wanting to talk about trips to the salon and all. But I dunno...I kinda like the new 'do. even if it feels a little strange now. Like I'm not funky enough to carry it off. But I suppose I like an image change every now and then. After all, variety is the spice of life, isn't it? Maybe I'll eventually learn to apply makeup...although it's a pretty remote possibility at the moment, considering I've this tendency to poke my eyes with mascara wands and what not. The makeup in the old hairstyle photo was done by Audrey. Cool, ain't it?

Going out soon. Probably should bathe. My mum won't let me wash my hair though. Best to let the dye settle...if not it'd be a waste of the $150 I paid for it. Gonna meet Ruth and Jiat Ling...then I'll go over to my grandmother's place. Or maybe I'll come back first. Or maybe go to Orchard to take some photos to show my friends. Look like a tourist or something. Haha! But I wanna show my friends how modern and cool Singapore is. So I suppose I'll go. Have to wait for my aunt to finish work anyway. I suppose walking down Orchard Road another time shouldn't hurt.

Seeya guys! I'm gonna miss ya!

I have bad luck with little kiddies. No idea why. We were at Suntec yesterday for lunch...and in the space of 2 hours, one little idiot wiped her wet hands on my blouse...like it was some kinda towel...her mum had to shout an apology, but honestly, I'm not appeased. Kids these days...tsk. Little monsters. Then there was this little boy who stepped on my foot and left a muddy footprint on my $89 pants! Argh. I've also been rammed into by little kids with trolleys. You know, babies are cute...but why on earth do they have to grow up and become silly little spoilt brats?

Well, the filming went fine...even if it lasted till pretty late. First we filmed in my house. Interviewed my mum and my sisters. When it got to my turn, I was feeling kinda tired and sluggish already. I apologize to Tiffany and Rachel, cos they had to wait for so long, but didn't get to swim in the end! Then we had to rush to my grandmother's place, cos the daylight was fading. Did a quick interview with my aunt. I could tell it was quick, cos otherwise we would have more do-overs...there's certain things you have to do you see. Then it was 8pm when we were finally done. One of the crew had to drop something off at a place where another crew was filming...and well, because of the road closures at Chinatown and the fact that the person driving wasn't too familiar with the roads, I ended up only getting there by 9+. It was so chaotic man! Good thing the sound guy got off to take the MRT too, cos I might've gotten lost otherwise. Sorry dear for being late!

Well, I've really gotta start packing my luggage. So many things to put iN! I'll definitely have to vacuum the clothes man. But I like packing. It lets me feel organised and in control. :)
