Life...and other afflictions

The rantings and uninteresting events of my life

I guess these days I'm mostly writing my blog for myself. But it's ok. It was mostly for that reason that I started writing. I don't have poetry or great discussion topics, or any interesting stories to tell. I just write what I feel, even if no one understands.

I've simply been whiling away my time, not doing much these days. On the Saturday after my birthday, I went to Angeline's place to just hang out. We wanted to have a movie marathon, but I had to meet Max, cos we wanted to watch Aviator at UFA Palast (the cinema). So I missed watching "Monster", which I'd really wanted to watch. There were lots of people at UFA. So crowded...although they too charge more for tickets on weekends. I paid 6 Euros for a ticket...and that was like at reduced, student prices! Max said it could go up to 11 Euros in Munich for a movie ticket. Yikes! Munich sounds like a very scary place to live in...everything's so expensive! The movie was quite long, so they had a break in the middle. It was the same when we watched Troy. So weird. But it's good for the people who are dying to go toilet half way. Aviator was pretty good. I guess people always expect too much out of a movie. It sure isn't easy to squeeze years of a man's life into 3 hours or less. It was kinda heartbreaking to see how geniuses are affected by OCD or other mental problems. But it because they are different from the masses, that they are able to come up with things so magnificent. The sad thing is that personal suffering is involved.

On Sunday, Mai, Fu Wei and I went to the Great Garden to take photos. We spent over an hour there, playing with the snow and taking photos. Mai really loves dogs and always wanted to take photos with them. I preferred to stay away, though I have nothing against dogs. We pretended to make snowmen, but there was too little snow left. I mean there was still snow on the ground, but it wasn't very thick. But it was fun! Then we went back and had lunch. I made Mee Rebus from the Prima paste. Everyone really liked it. Me included! We also had bolognaise. We used spaghetti for both dishes, cos there's no yellow noodles to be bought here. It tasted different, but still quite ok. I'm craving char siu rice right now. Sigh. I'll make sushi for dinner...but not with seafood or fish. I don't like that. I'll make it with egg and sausage. Yum!

Ok, gonna cook rice, then watch TV or sleep.
