Snow
I like snow for about the first 24 hours...after that, I hate it with a vengeance and don't wanna see it again until next winter. People who have this overly romantic idea of snow have obviously never felt their toes freezing off and their butts/legs/other appendages hurt when they fall down on the slippery ice that inevitably forms. Plus, the black/dark grey sludge that forms is disgusting. And, all forms of transport get delayed. And, if you have a car, you have to scrape the ice off the windshield. So yes, snow is fun, but only if you are going to stay indoors all day and you don't have a car or anything else that could get covered in snow. Or maybe if you want to ski. But I don't know how to ski, so I'll continue having my One Night Stand attitude towards snow...
I am writing this because I just slipped on some stairs at the uni and fell on my butt. I don't actually find it embarrassing to fall in front of so many people...the physical pain is really worse...because you have to get up and continue walking, unless you want your underwear soaked in freezing cold water.
Ah...just found out that my block seminar will be shortened by a week...which means compulsory take-home exam for a 1 CP Schein...ah well...it means more time to study for Czech at least.
Am half done with the Swedish exams. Realised I made some silly mistakes...but I think maybe the teacher will tell me if I failed...I hope so anyway...but actually, I am much more hopeful for Swedish than for Czech. But once Swedish is over on Monday, I will immediately start on Czech revision.
Proof that life never turns out the way you plan it: Marcus might have to work far away from Leipzig/Dresden...like on the other end of Germany...the job market here in Saxony isn't very good. I always assumed things would get better once he passed his exams and could find a new job...but they actually might get worse. Well, nothing is confirmed yet, but I'm just saying that there's this possibility that we might see even less of each other than we already do...and we might not even be able to chat on MSN every day like we have been doing so far. SIGH.
