Life...and other afflictions

The rantings and uninteresting events of my life

Shermaine says this is the first time she's sat the bus/MRT so many times in one day. We went to Orchard first (2 buses), then to Suntec, then sat the free bus to City Hall. Then took the MRT to Westmall.

We had lunch at pastamania...then wandered into Sembawang in Cine. After that we went to HMV to claim her free CD. Then walked to the bus stop to take the bus to Suntec. Hadn't taken a double decker bus in ages really! Then we walked around and looked at more disc shops. Oh yeah, Shermaine bought me this really cute handphone accessory. It has a picture of a monkey and it lights up and talks when someone calls or sends an SMS. It's cute, but sorta noisy! In Suntec, I bought Shermaine an Ariel purse and we went to Carrefour to buy a few things. I got my Tanya CD and a few pretty postcards of Singapore. They're a lot better-looking than the ones I got a few days ago.
We said Hi to Sherry and Paul. Then we went to Westmall, where we got "Home Run" for my mum. Saw 5566 stuff all over the place! They must be really excited that 5566 is coming to grace their tiny suburban mall. I'd love to go, but I'll bet that place is super packed, cos the place is so small anyway. While seeing them live is something I wanna do, the sheer number of people going to see them is way too daunting!

Came home and watched Love Actually. Erm, I think it was the uncensored version, cos I saw A LOT of sex scenes. My mum would NOT like to watch this...and I think she'd flip if she watched it and found out that Shermaine watched it. Okay, maybe I'm being a prude, but I still don't like seeing nudity on screen or wherever else...especially if little kids had access to it.

Well anyway, my flight is confirmed. I'll be leaving on the evening of 31 March. Sigh. It's not a nice feeling to have to go back to studying and loneliness!

I have 2 cute purple hippos~! Yay! They're so adorable...and now, they have clothes too, thanks to Sherry! She bought Old Navy baby clothes for them. Her piggy, Omelet (Am. Eng.) has boxers. SOOOOOOOO CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE! My hippos are called Hippy and Hoppy. Hippy's a girl, cos according to Sherry, it looks like a "she". she has smile lines. :) (shermaine likes to call them hipple and purpo) they look like little babies! Hoppy's a boy. Sherry refuses to let him wear pink, if not he'll be confused, like Nunkey. Of course, I don't believe in this crap. Why can't there be pretty boys? Why must boys be manly or macho or whatever?
Okay, being childish, but too bad, that's just me.

Went to get a refund for the concert tix today. But didn't get it, cos apparently, there's a refund date. So went to have lunch at Peranakan Inn. Food wasn't great. Went to Parkway Parade, which, according to my mummy, was one of my favourite haunts when I was a kid. I always ate beef noodles and then we played in Funland...on the Merry-go-Round. My mummy bought a CDs: the Dolphin Bay soundtrack and some Fei Yu Qing one. That was a dead-auntie giveaway. No wonder the shopkeeper recommended the Bae Yong Jun cd as well. The auntie-killer. Haha!

Going to Orchard tomorrow. Have to visit Sherry at Suntec too! Time is running short man!

well well, it's been a whole month since I've been back in Singapore...and soon, it'll be time for me to leave again. I've got barely 2 weeks left to go. I'm probably leaving on 31 March, just after my sister's birthday.

Does time fly when you're having fun or what? I'm in such a relaxed mode, that I'm not even too stressed that the registration for GLCs is totally screwed up...although I must say I was super frustrated with their crap system. Thanks to it, I have a screwed up time-table and no place in some compulsory classes. I mean, hello, if it's obligatory, they should ensure enough places for ALL the students. Goodness...what on earth were they thinking?

Other real blotch in an otherwise great time, is that fact that the Steve Chou concert will be postponed to 1 may, which means I won't be here...and since Shermaine doesn't wanna go without me, I'll have to go all the way to the Indoor Stadium to get a refund. Sigh.

Other than that...and the fact that my little cousin has been driving me crazy, I've had a pretty good time so far.

I don't remember all that I've done, but I know I've gone out practically every single day since I've gotten home..though I haven't been everywhere I planned to go yet. I'm still looking forward to going to Sentosa, but I need company. It's quite dumb to play with water when you're alone, though stuff like watching movies, I can do on my own quite happily.

So much to say...but not much time...I don't spend much time online anymore...well, cos I have so many other things to do here, I guess, like watching VCDs and going out and stuff. I've only been swimming 3 times though...quite pathetic. Wish I'd gone down more. Maybe I'll go tomorrow afternoon. Have to settle the refund thing first though.

So hot man! Well, it sucks that it rains so much actually...I always forget to bring my umbrella and get soaked. and it's so humid. And it cuts short our swimming sessions. Ugh.
