Life...and other afflictions

The rantings and uninteresting events of my life

Hey, who said I dun like Real? I just think Man Utd should've played better =P Real is great...
Yay, I finally bought a new handphone...erm but it also means that I am now officially broke. It cost me €406.43...I drew €400 from the bank this morning, which means erm, less shopping I guess. But anyway, my latest paycheck should be in the bank soon, so I can probably still take some money out next week. Woo hoo! New handphone after 3 years and bought with my own pay! This is great man!

I went home early yesterday and watched TV all the way till the Man Utd vs. Real Madrid match. It was really good. I mean how often do you get to watch a match between 2 excellent teams with so many goals? My goodness, was Ronaldo on a roll. That was a gorgeous hat-trick he pulled. Not just the fact he scored a hat-trick...but that his 1st and 3rd goal were beautifully slotted into goal. David Beckham's free kick was really cool too (I mean the one that scored a goal, not the ones he missed)...proves that 'Bend It Like Beckham' is really true. Of course the own goal by I-can't-spell-his-name-although-I-know-he-is-a-known-player was very funny. It didn't really look like an accident, but of course it was, unless anyone suspects match-fixing. Anyway, own goal-shooters are quite unlucky. Barthez is nowhere near as good as he was in France '98...I was impressed then, but not any more. I think Man Utd on the whole should've put in more effort...but I'm no soccer expert.

Yeah, so anyway, that was yesterday. I wonder what surprises today will bring. None that will cost me money I hope...heh heh!!

Hmm, okay, I think I must've been dreaming the last time I blogged...

Anyway, today's a gorgeous day...we had lunch outdoors again. Alex says all he needs is a pair of sunglasses and he can sit in the sun forever. I can believe it too. While it is sunny here, it is never as intense or 'burning' hot as in Singapore. Anyway, I think he spotted some hot chick during lunch and wanted to follow her, but she was with some guy. One of my colleagues teased him about being a ladies' man or something (sorry lah, I was paying more attention to my lunch) and yet it is highly ironic that he can't get a girlfriend or wife...maybe cos he's always chasing after some skirt or other. Anyway, everyone knows about Andrea's huge crush on him. She's over at his desk now...

So anyway, I was only at work for about half a day cos I went to get my visa thing done. Finally...it took less than 4 hours this time...just 2 in fact...actually, 2 hours is very long lah, but if you look at it in relative terms...but yeah, I am so happy that it's over and done with so I don't have to go there again...though it is near the university and the possibility of cute guy-spotting is quite high. Still...sitting in the waiting area is NOT my idea of fun...

Then once I got back...it was like time for lunch. How convenient eh? Heh heh. Then after lunch, Alex bought chocolate and drinks, so I had free stuff. Okay okay, should not be so greedy right? Anyway, I did buy him a present...a bottle that says 'Grandpa's Youth Potion (in German)'. I can't wait to see his expression when he sees it...haha! I am so evil right? Well, reminds me of the time Rach and I bought Mr Lo the birthday card for a 1-year old boy for Teachers' Day. Haha. That was a real hilarious gag!

Then I had more work and got wafers in return. Heh heh. I should put up a sign that says 'Will work for food' or something.

Arrgh. I only have 10 more days here. I don't wanna go home...especially if there are no veggies for me to eat! Help!

I am so glad to be back in the office! Okay, I know it sounds really weird, but after spending 3 of the past 4 days rotting away alone at home, I am glad to be back in civilisation man!

So why on earth was I so stupid as to stay at home the whole time when the weather was pretty good? Well, for one thing the public hols here are so not like those in Singapore where everyone goes shopping or something like that...everything is closed and the buses come every 40 mins...which means I have to try to aim for reaching the bus stop at the right time...or sit and stare at the sky.

Phew. Never try blogging while on ICQ2Go, when you have it on Pop-up dialogue. I am like going to die! Overload overload!!!

Anyway, I did go out on Saturday...to Bamberg. It is this beautiful town and there was this mini-Venice. Erm and yeah, I somehow managed to get lost!

I give up...got work to do now...will continue tmr!
