Life...and other afflictions

The rantings and uninteresting events of my life

Been so busy that I haven't had the time to post anything...didn't go anywhere on the weekends either, cos the weather has been really really sucky, so no photos to post as well.

Have been trying desperately to complete my DaF homework so that maybe I can get a Schein for the seminar...but I find my work lacking, even though I completed it last night. I still have Czech homework due today..but other than that, the air is clear for me to start revising for Swedish and Czech.

Have 4 exams next week and another 3 or 4 in the following weeks. Strangely enough, I don't feel the rush, even though I am stressed out because of the exams. Anyway, I'm thankful that Swedish is earlier than Czech, so I can intensively revise for Czech once the Swedish exams are over...there's the listening and writing exam on Wednesday, the oral exam on Friday and the reading comprehension on the following Monday, which basically means my birthday is wedged in between. How fun! There won't be a huge celebration...not that there ever has been..except maybe for the fake birthday party I had in 2005 for the show. But maybe I'll have a delayed one, where I invite my friends who don't live in my hostel...'cos maybe Fu Wei, Mai, Marcus and I can have a small lunch or something on Sunday, if they are free. Who knows.

I'll be going to Marcus' place tomorrow because he has an exam on Saturday...once he gets his results on 9th Feb, he'll be a "free" man...in other words, he'll have to look for a job..and he's trying to find one in Dresden so we don't have to travel so far all the time. This made me start thinking about when I graduate and have to find a job...the job prospects for Anglisten and DaF-lers are not very good. More than 30% of them have to search for more than 6 months to find a job. Cool eh? Something that really quite interests me is this Lufthansa JOPP programme, where people who didn't study biz ad or engineering are taught marketing skills on the job...it's a 2-year limited time contract...but if you're good, they might take you on. However, having a boyfriend means limited mobility..I mean sure, I could choose to move away, but I don't want to. Besides, I like Dresden a lot. But I suppose I'll worry about that when the time comes...my first priority now is to pass both Swedish and Czech..and get the UNICERT...as for Essay Writing and Translation...I will just have to be careful and make sure I don't make stupid mistakes...then I should be fine...if not my other tests will help to pull up my grades, I hope.

Ok, have to get back to my Czech homework now.
