Life...and other afflictions

The rantings and uninteresting events of my life

Have you ever been in the situation where you think you'll never do something, cos it's against your principles...then suddenly, something happens and you just do it anyway? It's majorly surreal. Your life sorta gets turned upsidedown. But what can you do about it, when what is done is done? If only I could turn back time...

Going to Prague today. Super excited. Didn't really have time to pack...or to finish my homework. I suppose I'll finish it when I get back or something. I suppose you have to be a little more flexible in life sometimes...though this is not normally what I do. Ah well, when you have a life-changing experience (not necessarily good or bad), some things just don't seem so important anymore. Haha...no lah, not so serious lah. I love to exaggerate, in case you didn't notice.

Hmm...so happy, going back to Singapore soon! Can go swimming often and all that. Well, I mean I plan to..whether it materialises or not is another matter. I miss home. Less than last sem, but I still wanna go home very much. Gonna learn how to cook and of course, write all my essays and term papers.

Okay, I should at least start on some homework now...

Hmm, what on earth is the usual font for Blogger? Sometimes fonts annoy me...sometimes I don't wanna choose. I want it to be chosen for me!

Anyway, I just came back from Aachen! It was so fun there! I mean it's so different from Dresden, but I like it too! And Poon Li, Azman and the rest were so nice too. It was nice being with them..and I hadn't seen Poon Li for over a year already! I had lots of fun. They were superb hosts. Yun was really nice to drive us around. Azman and I attempted to help him wax his car, which is actually really tiring. I wonder how he does it on his own?!

I went to Maastricht on my own...felt weird. I'm not all too adventurous, and I have to admit, it was a really exhausting experience being alone in a place where you don't speak the language. Well, for me anyway. The bus driver made fun of me and I wasn't sure what exactly he said. Anyway, the original plan was to go to Liege in Belgium too, but I had to buy another ticket and I was too lazy...and by the time I'd walked around Maastricht and wanted to go back, it was already 4pm, so I figured it was best to just go back to Aachen.

Oh, there's so much to tell! Azman cooked for me, Poon Li, Yun and Tobias on Saturday evening..it was delicious! Poon Li cooked for me most of the time. Very nice too! She cooked sweet and sour chicken, which looked totally authentic, but didn't quite taste sweet and/or sour. But it was still nice! Then she cooked chicken curry too! Her Korean housemate and her friend were such friendly and cute people! Then finally, on the last day, I made Shepherd's Pie for Poon Li...it's amazing...I haven't really cooked anything other than pasta or fried rice in EONS! It was so fun! I'm so tempted to learn how to cook more stuff. By the way, I forgot the recipe for Shepherd's Pie, so I just took a wild guess. It's not like Creme Brulee or anything, so it turned out just fine, erm, I think. Maybe I can cook for my grandmother or something.

Poon Li lent me "The Devil Wears Prada" and I managed to finish it in 2 days, on and off. It's a cute book. Very chick lit, and totally addictive. I'm glad that I managed to finish reading it!

Okay, I gtg...still have to go to school to hand in something and talk to a lecturer...then I have to come back and do more homework, which I will hopefully finish by tonight or tomorrow afternoon latest! Then I can go to Prague in peace, with nothing annoying the heck out of me! I'll worry babout the rest of the homework after all that!
