Life...and other afflictions

The rantings and uninteresting events of my life

*sigh* my very last day in Singapore. I'm fuming now cos my mummy's in this "I told you so" thing about the chicken which I might add, I defrosted for her but isn't completely defrosted yet (long story) *sigh* but I mean like I already bathed, so I was doing her a favour by making the mashed potatoes, defrosting the minced chicken and mixed veg, plus getting out the other ingredients for the shepherd's pie she's gonna make for reunion dinner. *sigh* but I suppose she is kinda stressed cos there isn't much time left to dinner..less than 2 hours. Plus we'll have to be on time cos I have to go to the airport by 9.15pm.

Anyway, just packed and repacked my luggage for the 4th or 5th time, trying to take out all the stuff that I can do without. It's like minimalist living or something. Anyway, after clearing so many times, my luggage is still 5/6 or 7/8 full! Urgh...why am I such an indiscriminate packer? Anyway, I finally stuffed what I can stuff inside and locked up the bag, so I won't be tempted to try to put anymore things inside... Trying to keep my handcarry empty too...will have to carry my winter jacket in my hand though. My sisters are also making me bring the piggy that they gave me for my birthday. Erm...Can it fit anywhere?

Watched my final episode of Wan Quan Yu Le for 3 months...Shan Wei and Ren Fu were wearing suits. Haven't seen Shan Wei wearing a suit before...but Ren Fu looks really good! I dunno why, but his face just looks very clear and clean...I mean his features aren't messy or blurry...okay, I know I am not making any sense.

Trying desperately to finish reading my Geisha book so I can return it before I leave. I have no extra space for it. Unlike Memoirs of a Geisha, this book is actually a non-fictional history book...pretty interesting, but of course also very slow-moving and a little dry at times...oh well, better get back to it.

Hope I will have access to a computer over in Germany soon. Till then, Auf Wiedersehen!

Okay, watched Wan Quan Yu Le again this morning. The most remarkable moment was when Shan Wei protested against girls just wearing a bra under some woolly vest with lotsa holes. What a decent, gentlemanly guy! *swoon* Well, it was also funnier when Ren Fu hesitated and then enthusiastically agreed with Shan Wei...I am so gonna miss the show when I go to Germany!! *sobsob*

Went to meet my sec sch friend for lunch at Bugis cos she wanted to pass me my Christmas and birthday presents. She showed me the photos that she took at the MVP Qing Ren and 5566 promo things...The photos were quite blur lah, but at least we could make out the pple. I felt so guilty, cos she gave me so many cute things, like the pair of gorgeous earrings I'm wearing now (too bad you can't see them) and a purple wallet, a pink scarf and a piggy photoframe. So cuuuutte!

Rushed to Jurong Point to meet Ying Han after that, but it turns out that due to Han's supreme blurness, she ends up more than 30 min late. Oh well...we went shopping...she and Audz said the same thing, that when shopping alone they never find what they are looking for but when they shop with me, I'm like some shopping lucky star! Haha...so ego right? But well, I guess I am naturally attracted to shopping lah and vice versa. We also saw a cute salesman (guy seems to be a more appropriate term) at 77th Street, who helped Han get a belt. I knew she thought he was cute...I could see it in her face! So scary...but I guess we have some kinda connection...haha...well, we like the same kind of guys also...except for 1 or 2 lah (the real -life ones).

Finally, went to Westmall to meet my Di...he was late too. So I just walked around aimlessly....usually end up buying junk during such occasions! Was thinking of getting more piercings but well, Han discouraged me...well, it's addictive you know... Went to Sakae Sushi for dinner. I didn't know that place was like so big! I am so suaku!! The funniest part was how Guojun spilled green tea on his pants! Hilarious man! He says every time we go out, something unexpected happens but he refuses to tell me what...oh well. He passed me the mass dance cd from Xiao Jun too...it's so sweet of her!

*sigh* leaving for Germany tmr already! Can't believe that I am going to be there for 3 months on my own, in my own apartment without my family and friends. I'm a pretty independent person but still the idea is sorta daunting. Getting all ready is tough...I still cannot find a large enough hand carry bag...*sigh* *sigh* HELP!!!
Last day in Singapore tmr...I must watch both eps of Wan Quan Yu Le tmr...if not go Germany no chance...
Phew...can access at last! These 2 days have been pretty hectic! On Wednesday morning, I watched Wan Quan Yu Le, the stripping episode...Shan Wei wears pink underwear! My goodness...strangely enough, I think it's cute. I like guys who aren't afraid to defy society's conventions...so sexy man...Haha! Ren Fu and Shan Wei stripping was also funny. Han thinks Shan Wei has a pretty good physique...I agree.

Went to Olio Dome with Audrey in the afternoon. We sat there from 2 plus to around 6pm? The waiter who refilled our glasses asked me if we were studying...haha, well, I said we were reading and he remarked that we seemed to be enjoying life...oops...haha I feel kinda guilty cos he's working. Audz says that guy is a nice waiter. It really was kinda a luxury to while the entire afternoon away just reading and eating...

Turns out I wasn't on TV anyway. Too bad I guess...but c'est la vie! Couldn't access this silly blog last night...irritating but well, I wasn't the only one lah...the whole site was down. I printed out the some of the photos of Shan Wei and 5566 that Audrey sent me and stuck them in the diary that my sister gave me for my birthday...too bad the photos were blurry cos my printer is (1) black and white and (2) is only 600 dpi (what an ancient resolution!!) But still, a picture of Shan Wei is better than none...so I can still see him every day in Germany (my goodness, I'm obsessed!)

Hello hello! Happy Birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to MEEEEEEEE, Happy Birthday to me! Haha...sorry for the ego thing...but well, hm, though I don't like being 19, I like the fact that it's my birthday! Got lotsa great presents! But that's not the point. To quote Frau Schraudolph, it's my first birthday in FREEDOM!!! Haha...cool eh? She gave birth already! I wanna see her baby...bet he's gorgeous! But pity I don't have time really...*sobsob* dunno why I suddenly think babies are cute...but I am definitely not interested in having my own so don't give me such crap advice!

Went out with Hennilia, my sec sch junior. We watched 8 Mile. Okay movie but I won't watch it more than once...too many F-words...heard the song I heard in a disco in Germany 4 years ago: The Roof is on Fire...or whatever the title. Went shopping with her too, and got my sec sch best friend a birthday gift. Bought other necessities for Germany, then we went home.

I was like so pissed with those two stupid CHINESE HIGH guys on the bus just now..they almost made me miss my stop. I was so pissed that I was acting like a complete B**ch but well, those 2 assholes deserved it.

Ugh, I am very sick of cake...will never eat it again...gross and creamy and makes me fatter too! (Like that's possible right? Like haven't I reached the limits of fatness?)

Anyway, Audz sent me pictures of Shan Wei...I'm so so happy! Yay! Finally I see picture of him...yay yay yay!! Oops, I sound like a woman obsessed. Better stop! But he's so cuuute! Erm, also unattainable...dream on girl...

Phew...I'm gonna be so busy over the next few...it's not even few...3 days!!! Help help...freaking out man!

Anyway, found out that Ruth and I will not be staying in the same apartment after all. Well, while I love Ruth and all, I would like to try living on my own, so yes, I am very excited!! Yay!! I'm gonna be so grown-up and all, living on my own...yay!!! Haha...oh dear, I must be high on birthday cake or something...stay away from SUGAR, Sam...

Phew....going out tmr again, but not before I watch Wan Quan Yu Le...I'm so addicted to that show! Missed it this afternoon anyway. *sob* Withdrawal symptoms... I wonder how I will go cold turkey in Germany!

Okay, today was really one fun day... Nope, I didn't like go to some amusement park or whatever. I basically read more of White Oleander...it was really getting good. I like this book. The movie didn't do justice to the book in the very least! It's getting really intriguing.

Watched Wan Quan Yu Le, cos I missed it on Friday...Ren Fu got his butt poked with a needle by his mommy, whom he looks like but is actually more feminine than. Haha...

At 2pm, met Han, Ranj and Ruth at JEC to go to Han's house. Han's house is near my sec sch good friend's house...no wonder Han's purported "Adventurous" way to her house looked so familiar. I once filmed my sec 1 Lit project there...it was my first go at book to film adaptation. Hmm...think I did a pretty okay job. *ego* but we did get an A in the end, so well, it was good!

Han's house was really nice, but guess what? I loved watching Wan Quan Yu Le there...cos Ranj and Ruth were there to watch it too! Han and I actually like the same guys...how uncanny! We both like Shan Wei and Shao Wei. She accused me of trying to steal her "Lau Gongs"! (Note the plural...so greedy eh she?) *humph* Well, looking at it positively, I guess it means we both have good taste lah! Ruth and Ranj think Meng Zhe looks very AC-guy...well, quite true I guess. He kinda reminds me of those AC guys my fellow MGS-ians were crazy about in Sec Sch.

Ruth and Ranj went home quite early, but Audz and I stayed behind with Han to chat and stuff. Like time really really flew by man! Before we knew it, it was already like 8pm plus. We had dinner there. Han's mum made the best bee hoon I have even tasted. Honestly speaking, I hate bee hoon. Why? 1. Cos the bee hoon my previous maid used to make was really tasteless so I'd drown the bee hoon in Lea n Perrins sauce, ketchup or chilli sauce. 2. If it's not tasteless, it's super oily! 3. My chem teacher used to insist that we all buy bee hoon to eat during our breaks when we had Chem remedial, whether or NOT we wanted it at all. I was so pissed. I just paid and (a) played with it, (b) gave it to my friend, (c) threw it away, (d) not collect it at all, (e) brought it home for someone else...etc...just some of the many ways I tried to get rid of yucky food! But Han's Mum's bee hoon has just the perfect amt of taste without being grossly oily, which I so totally hate.. Kudos to her man...

Haha...success! Anyway, had my birthday party on Saturday. It was so fun...okay, admittedly I was kinda upset cos erm some pple couldn't make it, but ah well, still had fun lah. First birthday party in my whole life! Haha...am I deprived or what?

So anyway, got some great gifts! Can you believe Ranjini and I gave each other photo frames?! She says it is now super obvious that we are born on the very same day...so cool eh? I absolutely love Ranj! Han really surprised me by giving me a Mashi Maro stuffed toy! So surprising...and I really really love it!!! Real pity that I cannot bring him to Germany with me. I do not know why but my luggage is filled to almost the brim and it's not like I've put everything inside it yet! Help...AND I've even vacuum-packed my clothes!! Arrgh! HELLPPP!

I'm like eternally grateful to Shermaine (my youngest sister, for the uninitiated) cos she spent the afternoon making a parcel for "Pass the Parcel" and getting prizes for them. The prizes were pretty good...but my forfeit was kinda weird. I had to drink a whole gigantic glass of water in 10 sec. Good thing I was thirsty and am quite a camel or water receptacle or whatever, so I managed to do it. Anyway, the others liked the game too, so I am very happy and also grateful to Shermaine for preparing it.

There were actually other "highlights" too, but I cannot say what cos it is quite embarrassing and I don't really wanna embarrass anyone.
I give up. Computers really don't like me at all! Tiff, if you read this, please help..my comments have disappeared again...but anyway, had a lot of fun these few days...

Went to Orchard to get pizza and Chew Chor Meng's autograph for Tiff...It was kinda like a mission cos I had to sorta follow him around and wait for the opportune moment to approach him cos they were filming. Well, finally decided to pop up behind him while he was smsing and asked to buy pizza...BUT, only if he'd give me his autograph. Surprisingly, they actually decided to interview me..Cool, but hey, my Chinese really sux man...so mallu-ating! Also, seems like I'm some Mediacorp celebrity junkie or something

Met Tiff and Kylie for lunch at Raffles Place...ate 1 pizza and gave the other to their collegues. I really do like the sauce. Got like 2 sunshades, 2 converse pouches and some vouchers. they gave me really cool birthday presents too! Thanks!

Went to Orchard to meet Audz...went to Sushi Tei...met an ex-NJCian I shall not name... she dao-ed us like even when we said hi. It's not the first time she's treated us like that. She's only nice to cute guys and whoever she deems important. Can anyone spell B-I-T-C-H? Ugh...hate pple like her...

Went to collect our limited edition 5566 album after lunch (who wants to stay in the same place as a bitch for long anyway?). Okay...I admit...it is very strange for me to like Chinese stuff. I hardly watch Chinese shows without subtitles even! But even since watching Wan Quan Yu Le...heh heh, I liked 5566. Well, I guess everyone has to make some exceptions. I think Shao Wei's cute...but Xiao Dao looks scary! Doesn't Ren Fu look like Tanya Chua? Haha. That's what my mummy said anyway.

Was reading the White Oleander book that Audz bought at Kino and lent me. Believe me, the book is much much better than the movie, though a tad too explicit perhaps. Audz refused to let me read the disgusting parts out to her...sigh!
